Thank you Olga! I am a Pastor's Kid and I am in ministry as well. I actually had your husband as a professor at CBC - amazing! My husband and I are Youth Pastors in Ohio and I just took on the role as part-time Children's Pastor. I am not sure how many more hats can fit on my head :) I also have a beautiful three year old daughter and I so appreciate this blog. It is so important for me to make sure I never place expectations on her that are not right.

One thing that helped me when I was growing up was this...My parents were pastors. My sister hated it! She rebelled! At some point (I don't remember when) God revealed something to me. I was called into ministry. I don't mean that I was called into ministry when I left my parent's home. But I was called into ministry because I was in my parent's home. God had placed me in that home, with those parents, and at that church. Some PKs don't get called into ministry for the rest of their lives but until they are 18 they are called. This is something that I want my kids to know. They will still be kids but they are kids that God ordained to be ministry kids...Pastor's Kids!

I have been making homemade bread for a little over a year now. I love it and my family loves it too. In fact, when I opt to buy bread from the store on a rare occasion my kids always say they wish I had made bread. It is pretty easy once you get into the routine of making it all the time.

God has taught me to be flexible. I am a planner and like to know ahead of time what's going on. My husband's current job in ministry has different hours each day. He will sometimes get called at 2 on Saturday to work at 3. God has changed my fear and anger into flexibility and trust. I am so grateful to Him for that.
